How is AI being used in HR?

AI in Transforming HR

AI is the simulation of human intelligence processes by machines, especially computer systems. Specific applications of AI include expert systems, natural language processing, speech recognition and machine learning. While HR was not the first corporate department to adopt AI, it is quickly catching up and implementing the technology to strengthen the company and improve the employee experience.

3 Ways AI is Transforming HR

1) Hiring

AI decreases the time and effort needed to execute tedious tasks, from vetting candidates to managing records, setting up meetings, and answering and solving candidate concerns. The selection of a candidate who largely satisfies the firm's requirements will be made easier with the help of AI-assisted hiring. Additionally, it provides an effective and fair evaluation method as the process is unbiased.

2) People Analytics

Natural language processing (NLP) is the branch of AI which allows computer systems to understand human communications. Passive listening technologies utilize NLP to allow companies to understand morale, trending workplace topics or the cultural health of a company all without having to survey employees.

3) Compliance and Risk Mitigation

As companies grow, it becomes more and more difficult to ensure employees are complying with corporate policies. From behavior policies to legal and regulatory compliance, companies can mitigate the risk to their organization by using AI to find problems before they become serious.
